1. Good high-temperature strength and toughness.2. Excellent wear resistance.
D2 Tool Steel is a high-wear, low-distortion cold-work tool steel and air-hardening tool steel. It contains up to 1.5% carbon and 11.5% chromium. Its hardness can reach 60 HRC after heat treatment. D2 steel is suitable for manufacturing large-section, complex-shaped cold-work dies subject to heavy impact loads and requiring excellent wear resistance, such as silicon steel sheet stamping dies, cold cutting shears, trimming dies, etc.
DC53 is a Cr-Mo-V alloy tool steel. It is melted via EAF+LF+VD or EAF+LF+VD+ESR processes, which refines coarse carbides. It features high toughness and excellent wear resistance. It has minimal deformation after wire EDM, so dimensional change can be effectively controlled. It also offers good resistance to abrasive wear and chipping.DC53 remedies the weakness of insufficient hardness and toughness of D2 and SKD11 under high-temperature tempering. It rarely cracks and greatly extends service life.
A2 is air-hardening medium-chromium steel with high toughness & hardness. Produced via EAF+LF+VD or EAF+LF+VD+ESR metallurgy, it suits hardware stamping dies and high-strength precision injection molds. Its toughness and chipping resistance are double that of SKD11. It has good wear resistance and superior machinability, with stable dimension and low heat-treatment deformation.
TGC88 is an improved version of DC53. It is produced via EAF+LF+VD or EAF+LF+VD+ESR metallurgical processes. Compared with DC53, it features higher toughness and wear resistance, as well as excellent tempering resistance. Its hardness can reach 62–64 HRC, which greatly extends service life.
